In addition, they only help in the short term, because ultimately the cause must be remedied. If a roof tends to grow algae, the ventilation behind it may be inadequate. Large trees next to the house also have a negative effect, as they provide shade and, like a lack of ventilation behind it, prevent the roof surface from drying out quickly. You will need to discuss with a professional whether you can retrofit ventilation tiles or gaps or whether tree pruning will help. The nature conservation authority also has a say - not every tree can be felled, an application is often necessary.
